I acknowledge that travelling in wilderness regions and that the sport of canoe tripping are activities with high risk associated with them and that I am participating at my own risk and in full knowledge of the hazards and potential hazards which are inherent in this endeavour. I further acknowledge the inherent risks in canoe training, highway driving, walking, hiking, canoeing, and rafting, which risks include bodily injury to myself. This could include but is not limited to weather conditions; encounters with wildlife, including bears; equipment failure; variation or steepness of terrain, exposed rock, snow, ice or trees; changes in water current, streams, rivers, and creeks; collision with trees, rocks, motor vehicles or pedestrians; and failure to operate safely within one's own ability.
In consideration of being allowed to embark on this canoe trip, I hereby freely assume all risk and I hereby release and absolve Canoe North Adventures (CNA) and Orangeville Travel and their officials, volunteers, Officers, Directors, agents, representatives and employees, and the owners from all responsibility, liability or claims of any nature and kind which may have arisen from my participation in this activity, including but not limited to bodily injury or death and damage to property arising from any cause whatsoever. I understand that CNA and any assistants can assume no responsibility directly or indirectly for acts of God, delays, detentions, strikes, thefts, vandalism, forest fires, floods, storms, or any other additional expenses incurred as a result of these actions. I understand that CNA contracts with outfitters who supply air and road shuttles to and from rivers and that CNA is in no way responsible for their acts or omissions.
I declare that I have read and fully understand and agree to the terms and conditions stated herein and that it is binding upon my executors, heirs and assigns. I hereby release CNA and any assistants and\or associates of legal and financial liability for myself and my belongings.
I am in good health, capable of performing the required exercise to participate in a canoe trip of this nature with wilderness activities. If a medical emergency arises, I am aware that CNA carries an emergency medical kit, and I give permission for Canoe North Adventures to assist at my discretion.
